Brighton & Hove has long been renowned as a 'gay haunt'.  It has had a sizeable LGBT community for probably much longer than you think!

Brighton Ourstory Project was set up in 1989 by a group of local lesbians and gay men to collect material about the City's lesbian and gay past - and present - and to make sure that it is preserved and made visible to the LGBT community.
